Owner & Podiatrist

Angela McAnearney

Angela qualified as a Podiatrist in 1986 and after gaining experience in New York, she moved to Galway and has been working in Galway Podiatry Clinic since 1988. She has a Masters Degree in Health Promotion and also teaches in the Discipline of Podiatric Medicine in University of Galway.

As an expert in anatomy and foot function, she specialises in the assessment and treatment of those painful foot conditions – Ingrown toenails, Metatarsalgia (pain in the ball of the foot), Plantar fasciitis, stubborn Corns and Callus, Fungal Nails and bacterial infections. Angela takes as much time as is needed for each appointment and gives a comprehensive explanation as to why these conditions happen and provides options for an agreed treatment plan.

With her comprehensive experience and knowledge of the feet and foot function (Biomechanics) she can often intuitively solve those “difficult to treat” cases that others miss. She is recommended for orthotic insoles by various physiotherapists around the city and county and refers when necessary.
